Spring Scavenger Hunt (All
ages)
The City of St. John's
invited families of all ages and abilities (including furry friends) to attend
the Spring Scavenger Hunt at Bowring Park for an afternoon of adventure and fun.
Meet outside the Bungalow in the centre of Bowring Park to start the Spring
Scavenger Hunt and learn some interesting facts about the Park as you go. Search
for hidden clues to solve the puzzle and reveal the answer. Collect a small
token from a treasure chest when you're done.
Date: Sunday, April 26
Time: 2 to 3:30 p.m.
Location: Bowring Park (meet outside the Bungalow)

Home Alone Safety Program (Ages 9 to
12 years)
Are you wishing
your were more independent? Based on the SOS 4 Kids Inc..,
the Home Alone course is a comprehensive safety program that prepares preteen to
stay home along. Topics include: street smarts, people safety, routines, home
readiness plan, safe activities and snacking, online safety, fire safety, and
basic first aid.
Date: Two
courses offered on April 8 and 10
Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Location: Both will be held at the H.G.R. Mews Community
Centre

Baby Sitting Course (Ages 11-13
years)
Want to learn the
basics of baby sitting? Participants will learn how to care for children from
infants to school age and how to handle emergencies and first aid. Participants
will receive a certificate upon completion.

Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
