Here at MDE we are starting our Virtues
project. Over the next few months our
students will learn about and practice virtues every day. Just like learning
how to read and do math, children need
to learn how to be Virtuous to others.They’ll be learning that a Virtue is an
action or behavior that shows the best qualities that each of us has. We’ll
begin our Virtue Project by growing our Virtue Tree.
If you have been at school, you have probably seen Mia sitting outside Ms Flynn’s office. Mia is a Huggles Doll and her Virtue is Honesty. Ms Flynn and Ms Taylor will be using Mia to help our students learn about Virtues this year. You can learn more about Huggles Virtues Dolls on their website http://www.myfriendhuggles.com. It has information and games about Virtues and how to practice them.
